Yum the chum

Yum the chum       10 Portions:

Ingredients:
10 portions of rice (Any kind, cooked) or, roti or, tortilla

2 kg. of yums, peeled, washed, cubes
1 tea spoon of turmeric powder
1/2 cup of tamarind sauce or, 1/2 cup of, tamarind water
1/2 tea spoon of chili powder
2 tea spoon of brown sugar
1/2 cup of coriander/cilantro leaves, chopped
1 tea spoon of garlic, minced
2 tea spoon of onion, chopped
1/3 cup of olive oil
1/2 cup of water
1 tea spoon of butter
salt-pepper

Method:
First, cook those yums in hot water for about 3-4 min. or, till they are half way cooked. Rinse them right away. While it's rinsing, cook those turmeric, chili, garlic & onions with the oil for 1 min. Add the yums, tamarind sauce/water, brown sugar, coriander/cilantro,  water and the butter. Mix it well, while it's still cooking on a medium heat for 1 more min. Season with salt-pepper. Serve hot with some  rice or, roti or, tortilla (Warm).
